Prince was known for renting out the Chanhassen Cinema and taking fans to see newly released films. But he would often go see movies without taking his entire audience with him. He usually ditched the action and horror movies for G-rated films with great underlying messages. With his passion for social justice, it seems fitting that Zootopia was the last movie Prince saw in the theater. Although this event isn't at the Chanhassen Cinema, it is a great outdoor event to take the whole family and get a feel for how Prince liked to spend his free time. This screening is being held at the Lake Harriet Bandshell, which can be seen in Prince's music video for "Strollin'" in the 3 Chains O' Gold movie.

The movie starts at dusk, so get there a little early to be sure you don't miss a thing.
